Humble Arrogance

So what does it take to break through in our business?  I think it’s a dual mindset.

You have to be cocky enough to believe you can be a top pin rank.  And you need the humility to submit to your sponsorship line, defer to the system and become a student.

Arrogance isn’t usually attractive.  But when it comes to believing in yourself, give yourself permission to get cocky.  Because when you believe in you, other people believe in you.  And when they believe in you, they believe in what you’re doing and want to be a part of it.

So be brash, be cocky, be a little arrogant.  But temper that with the humility to learn and grow, make some mistakes and get better.

You up for that?

  2. David G says:

This may very well be the link that is missing. Earl Nightingale says it is as hard for the wealthy to live in the lower class neighborhood as it is for the poor to climb to the wealthy. This might just the the link that is different.

    Thanks Randy

  3. Gina says:

    Perfect! Very true!

  4. Randy that was a area I really struggled with for a long time. Building self confidants as a leader. There is a fine line between arrogant and confident. I have seen arrogants cost a person there future in this business because they’re not willing to grow and CHANGE. .

  5. Beatrix says:

Great advice Randy.Be cocky, self confident ,but with humility to be able to learn and become the best you can be.

  6. Can’t add anything to that except to say “Bravo” .

  10. Jamie says:

Yup! The reverse of over-confidence is just as crippling. Developing humility & confidence born out of merit.

  11. AG says:

    That is true!
It´s good to be a little arrogant but you have to had a balance…

  12. Ronald Cheek says:

Being self confident goes a long way when it comes to growing yourself.

    come to you.”

  17. rene says:

I always tell prospect that to become a superstar you have to be stubborn as well as open minded, which is quite an unusual combination. But again, anything is possible, it’s just a choice you make.

  18. Sonny says:

    I’m definitely up for that!

  19. Thanks for this, Randy. This is one of those truths that I’ve needed to come to terms with. I’ve “known” it all along, just needed to really feel it. I think I’ll be great in leading my downline when I get to that point where I have much of one, but getting one is where I need to increase my cockiness.

  20. Good one Randy!
I think POSTURE is another way to describe it, no?

    Love this Blog!

After I presented my card to a “suspect”, saying that if he was curious to give me a call (“serious” would have been better but I was “nervous”). As I left, I thought about his response and within five or fewer minutes and went back in and retrieved my card. I let him think he was right and let ….him…..go!

  22. Ever notice that, regardless of the area of endeavor, the individuals at the top of the field have Zen-like pronouncements to illuminate the path for the rest of us to follow towards the success they’ve attained? Once we’ve reached the summit we look back & realize it was with us all along…so carry it with you now. Thanks RG for the reminders along the way.

    Great post Randy,

  24. Paula says:

I totally believe in myself it’s the humility to submit to your sponsorship line, defer to the system and become a student that I have a huge issue with.
It feels like i’m waiting in line for the koolaid or something. I am just no good
at being a follower. In a leadership role i’m great. Maybe it’s the word submit.

  25. Renato Rener says:

Yea…, I think I’ll have to change some of my affiliate reviews on my blog :-D

  26. GERMAN JARAMILLO says:

Well… I can tell you for example, i’ m so arrogance with the system i learn and i follow. I don’t accept to work with anybody even they are sponsored by me.

I decide to have the enough humility to follow my up lines, specially if the are having big results in the business, but more specially if i see they have integrity.

So, what do you think when you sponsor somebody with good leadership potential but because of their lack of knowledge they do many mistakes that don’t let them to “road” their business?

    -GJ

  27. Phil says:

Thanks Randy ! I don’t do arrogance, but I’m going to be much more self assured, aka (cocky).

  28. WileyMaureen says:

I think that to receive the personal loans from banks you should present a good motivation. Nevertheless, once I’ve received a college loan, just because I was willing to buy a bike.
