I agree that the reason that people get started in a business is because they believe in you but that may be a little difficult to get when you are working outside of your warm market. If you want those outside of your warm market to believe in you too, you need to be an expert in your business. With expertise comes confidence and people love to follow confident experts.

I also agree, one needs to believe in themselves, their products, their company and their story must come form their heart not a script. Some prospects will jump in right away, others may take multiple exposures.

Randy, I totally agree. For someone to engage you must pour your heart into them with time. Some go faster, some go slower but they follow your lead. Time in the car, time on the phone, and time doing presentations with them are three ways we utilize our most precious asset. Part two, in my opinion, is TLC. The stay because you have earned their trust, they are loyal to the brand of the product, and they are committed to the goal of life on their terms.

So true!

Many new people & sometimes some un-properly trained people that have been around awhile have the "I gotta get me one mentality". That mentality doesn't serve the person that is taking a look at the opportunity nor the distributor. It definitely doesn't create a like you & trust you atmosphere.

The easiest way I've found to teach BLT is to teach new people to always think "How can I help you?" when talking to any prospect.

Dale Carnegie wrote the book on "Being Genuinely interested in other people". BLT is the fruit of being genuinely interested in others.
