We just came back from Osaka, south to Tokyo, where we have a good group of people building. We have been talking on the phone with the group but meeting up with them this past weekend made a huge difference (to them and to us).

I love the technology today and it has helped us expand worldwide in ways we never imagined a few years ago. We can even do webinars to see each other without leaving our home.

But I think nothing beats the personal contact, looking into each other's eyes, feeling the energy from our bodies, the "human warmth" of a handshake or a hug. We are in fact human and technology just doesn't have that human touch (at least for now ;-)).

We love traveling so it puts just a bit more meaning to our travel. We're in this business because we love traveling and meeting people so it's a perk for us!

I look for whether they follow the core qualities, are on autoship, and are loyal to the system. Then I look for a "beachhead," meaning that they have a group of people that are also doing these things.

My way of paying the price is by participating in companies DVD program for the following reasons:

1. It saves me time. I know right away who is serious about changing their lives. Many say they want to change, but few are willing to do what it takes.

2. It has a tracking system with databases, training, goal setting, etc

3. When I follow up on the telephone, if they watched the DVD and show interest, then I will invite them to a meeting. Now, if they are ready to sign up over the phone, then I will help them..

If on the day of the meeting, they do not show up or come up with some last minute excuse such as my car broke down. the cat got a tooth ache, my kid got sick, I have to go bowling. I have to go to work, they go to the bottom of my list. I am done chasing people. I realize this is part of the of the business.

4. I am being compensated for my efforts. All I need to do is pass out 25 DVDs a month for 12 months and they will compensate me with 10K. I realize in the world of some network marketers this is pocket change. However, I guarantee that a majority of the people in the industry do not make amount, ever.

The meeting are great, but I feel you should qualify that person to see if they have the right mindset and are open to new ideas.
